Dear Garrett,
You are like sunshine in our lives. You are always giggly and smiling and are such a joy to us. It's hard to believe that only one year ago you weren't in our family because it feels like you've been a part of us for much much longer than that. I can still remember the excitement and anticipation waiting for your arrival, and being instantly in love as soon as I saw your face. You are such an easy going little boy, always content to watch your brothers play and to be held by me and daddy. You eat anything in front of you, but are starting to strongly prefer table food to baby food. You're unofficially 23 pounds (which has got to be off the charts!) and are so squishy and cuddly. You have five teeth (3 top and 2 bottom) and are just starting to stand on your own and attempt to take a single step. We're trying to teach you how to go down the steps safely (rather than head first off the top step!). You love taking baths, clapping, seeing your brothers after you've woken up and putting toys in and out of bags and boxes. You're still taking two naps a day but you're down to only nursing once in the morning. We LOVE you and thank God for you every day. Happy Birthday baby boy!
