The Clock Is Ticking (Again)

Charlie got the list of rotations yesterday! We weren't expecting it until probably 3-4 weeks from now, but here it is... and we only have until Tuesday to make our choices! Like last time, he gets to choose five locations/divisions that he would prefer, but also like last time, that doesn't guarantee that he'll get his top choice.

We thought that there might be a chance that we could stay here in Dallas (he heard a rumor that they are minimizing relocation costs) but there aren't any rotations this time around in Texas. In a nutshell, that means we're definitely on tap for move #3 in the last year. This is getting exhausting!

Once we weed through the options and Charlie submits his choices, we'll probably hear 7-10 days later where we'll be placed next. From there, time starts to fly! Trips to Goodwill with things we don't want to move, a home finding trip to the new location, tying up loose ends here and saying goodbye to dear friends we've made. At least this time we have a little more notice than last time.

It'll be a whole new ballgame moving with 10 month olds compared to 4 month olds! I'm already dreading keeping them busy on the plane and messing with their sleep schedule (by changing time zones)... not to mention bringing things to keep them occupied until our things and their toys arrive. Yikes! I just flashed forward to the next move when they are 16 months and walking. I don't even want to think about that yet!!

Pray for us over the next 4-5 days, please, that the process will go smoothly and that we'll be happy with the outcome. Pray also that we'll start to feel prepared to leave, because right now we're pretty far from ready.
