We Made It!

I have to keep this post brief because we're sitting in Panera using their Internet while we drink our weight in soda so we can stay here for free : )

The past four days were tough - physically, emotionally and mentally - but we came out ok on the other side. The movers were at our house in Pittsburgh on Thursday and put all the boxes in the truck and we left around 7:00 Thursday night for our new home. We made a pit stop in Lancaster to stay with Charlie's grandma and to give the cats a break from the car (they were NOT big fans and hadn't eaten or drank anything in over 24 hours). Friday morning we continued on and made it to Danbury around 2:00 Friday afternoon. All in all, it wasn't a bad drive... and no, that's not a lie to get you to come visit. It's really not - and we would LOVE visitors anytime!

Last night we took a break from unpacking and tried a new restaurant - Maggie McFly's, which was not only great food, but also has a Rock Band Night every Tuesday. How cool is that?! We did a little grocery shopping and went home and crashed out for a decent night's sleep - only to sleep until 8:00 this morning, eat breakfast, and go back to bed until 12:30! I guess we were more drained than we had expected! The house and unpacking are coming along great though, and the place, though it's not our home yet, is looking like it might come close.

I've been getting a couple emails from other mom's (or mom's to be) of twins in the area, so please pray that some of those will work out as friendships for me. Charlie's family is coming up in 5 days to stay with us before we all leave for VT for vacation for a week - so it'll be great to host our first visitors!

Once we have internet at home I'll post more (including some pictures), but for now I have to run... I need a refill : )

Yay!!! You made it!! Hope you get settled in quickly, my friend! It was great to see you, Char, and your adorable belly, even if it was for only like 10 minutes :) xoxo
