During the last week of school, my co-workers, Debbie and Val, organized a surprise baby shower for me and invited about 25 of my teacher-friends. It was an amazing feat to accomplish since I had been trying to fit in lots of visits with friends and doctors appointments after school during that week and wasn't around very often. I actually had plans for that afternoon and Joe (my other co-worker) was emailing her behind the scenes and changed my plans for me so I could still make it to the shower. It felt so great to be supported and surprised in such a great way!
