They Don't Even See It Coming...

Big changes are about to happen for the Fox Boys. They have put up with all the moving and adjustments that go along with starting over four times in their lifetime. They have done remarkably well with the arrival of Baby Garrett. They have made our new house their home and are slowly becoming Texans... but these changes will be like a drop in the bucket compared to what's coming...

We're taking their pacis. Tonight.

I have been thinking about when to take them away for a little while now, but they only have them for naptime and bedtime and don't really even care about them during the rest of the day. They willingly give them up when they want to come out of their beds and haven't 'gone fishing' through their cribrails for them for months. Because they leave them in their cribs without my prompting, I haven't actually looked at their pacis for a long time. Today, I finally gave them a once-over and they are in BAD shape. We have four binkies left (I think at the max we had about 8) and all four have bite marks through the silicon on the top and bottom. One more hard bite and pull and they could bite the whole thing off. Talk about choking hazard! So this nap is their last time with their beloved night-nights.

We might be in for a long night... but it's time for these little boys to take the plunge and become big boys.
