At first, it was hard to see the purpose of Charlie losing his job back in November. It didn't seem fair and it didn't seem like it should have been part of God's plan. Now though, after two and a half months of getting used to the idea, it is abundantly clear that it was part of The Plan. Charlie probably wouldn't have applied to grad school, something that he's been wanting to do for years, and he'd still be stuck in a job that he wasn't enjoying or being challenged in. Last week was yet another affirmation to this directional change in our life - he received a letter stating that he was awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Katz (the grad school at Pitt). It was an AMAZING blessing and just proved to us even more that God's plan for our life is so much better than the plans that we can set ourselves.
